Welcome to the final edition of Brewster Bear Facts, and of my column! Today, instead of talking about the past season’s fashion, we’ll be talking about upcoming fashion trends. With only a few weeks standing between us and summer, many of us are planning and acquiring our best outfits to take summer by storm, and look great doing it. Congrats to the seniors, and good luck underclassmen! I myself will be graduating as well!

What are you most excited to see this summer? Why?

Wearing long skirts or sundresses along with wearing sunglasses in general. – Ava Simonian

MV: REAL! I have extremely light eyes so I wear sunglasses even in cloudy weather. My sunglasses actually broke yesterday, and they were my backups.

Beach and summer themed bracelets, I love how pretty they are <3 -Anonymous

MV: Ugh, LOVE! I have a really cute starfish and pearl arm cuff, but it just will not fit right no matter where or how I wear it. Super peeved. The necklaces it came with are gorg though, so it’s still a win.

I’m definitely excited for tanning because I feel like my prime comes out when I tan. -Anonymous

MV: I’ve actually never tanned a day in my life. Far too pale to be able to, I just burn. BUT! I do love a good sunkissed glow, I think it’s real cute.

What are you not excited to see this summer? Why?

Crocs, personally I just don’t like them. -Ava Simonian

MV: Girl, same. I think they definitely have their moments, but they’re just overworn at this point.

Bejeweled flip flops omg they’re so impractical and break so easily. -Anonymous

MV: Fashion is SUPPOSED to be impractical, though! Though it’s definitely irritating when things break easily. Gotta get you some superglue. Trust.

What’s your Summer Fashion Hot Take?

The colors teal and light pink together, it just gives summer vibes. -Ava Simonian

MV: It’s also such a Y2K classic, immediate love. They just work so well together! Most blue’s/greens and pinks work VERY well together.

I don’t want to see fake tans anymore, my god you look like roasted potatoes. -Anonymous

MV: Now THIS is a hot take, thank you very much anon. I think fake tans can be perfectly fine, it’s when you go too dark that it starts to become an issue. But, it is a nice alternative to skin cancer, so. Can’t judge it too hard.

My summer fashion hot take is definitely a crop top, or one of those shirts with some cute low rise shorts. Or definitely teal, like wearing teal during summer while your tan is just pure ate, you know? And I feel like fashion is just the most important thing during summer. -Anonymous

MV: Ooooh, I do love a good crop top with low rise! Teal is DEF a summer color for sure, and it contrasts so well with tans, I see what you mean! The most important thing is staying hydrated, though. Can’t be a diva if you’re dead. Stay safe!
