Welcome back to Fashion Hot Takes! This month we discuss the fall trends from this past year. From the continued revival of Y2K to the death of sweatwear, we debate what looked Hot and what was Not. There were SO MANY amazing responses this time, and I truly wish I had space to put more! But alas, here we stand.
What was your favorite Fall Fashion Trend? Why?
Google Search doesn’t have personal favorites, but popular Fall 2025/2026 trends include versatile leather pieces, rich earth tones (browns, olives), animal prints (leopard), cozy textures like suede, elevated tailoring (waistcoats, blazers), and statement outerwear like updated trench coats or capes, offering both style and warmth. People love them for adding personality, sophistication, or a touch of wildness to autumn wardrobes.

MV: Thank you so much for the data David, I truly appreciate the forecast.
What was a Fall Fashion trend you did not like? Why?
Not a trend but those huge puffy jackets that make that swish sound when you move your arm. It’s loud and I don’t like the way it looks but a lot of people own jackets like that. -Anonymous MV: Ugh, I so get you. I’d say they’re a recurring trend, especially in late years. The sound is way annoying.
What’s your Fashion Hot Take?
MV: Now if any of you know who I am and have seen me in the hallways, you will know I am a Y2K fashion WARRIOR. Probably because my sister is 26. Animal pictures and designs on clothing is not childish -Anonymous
