Question: What do you like to do in the summer? Looking for suggestions.

Sophia’s advice: My favorite thing to do in the summer is usually sitting outside and doing little crafts. I’m someone who loves to make things so I’ll usually take my supplies outside and listen to music. I also love reading outside and gardening.

Question: I want to ask my best friend out, but I know our other friends will judge us, what should I do? I’m not worried about losing the friendship, because I know if we don’t work, we can go back to being close friends, but I’m just worried that it might make other friendships weird.

Sophia’s advice: You should totally go for it! If you’re confident in the fact that you could develop this friendship into a relationship and you won’t lose the friendship with this person, then take the chance. Your real friends shouldn’t judge you for something like this and if they do ask them why they feel the way that they do and talk it out. Clear and concise communication is the only way any relationship can survive and as long as you and your friends are willing to listen to each other and tell the truth it shouldn’t be a big deal.

Question: What are some easy snacks to meal prep for school?

Sophia’s advice: One of my favorite things to make for myself that can work as a snack or a light breakfast are these egg cup things. (I don’t really have a name for them). They’re really easy to make and can be stored in the freezer to last longer. To make them you can take a cupcake tray and mix 1 egg into each of the cups and then you can dice vegetables like peppers and onions and some cheese, as well. Honestly you can really add whatever you want and then just bake them in the oven. Once they’re done you can keep them in the freezer and heat them up in the microwave whenever you need them.

Question: How can I romanticize school to make it more enjoyable?

Sophia’s advice: School in general is a hard thing to romanticize because there are so many aspects of it, but personally I romanticize the studying aspect of it. Making sure you have a space that’s organized and calming definitely helps for focusing on work. I’m also someone who needs music to focus on work so music choice is a big one depending on what makes you feel motivated or less stressed. Another way to romanticize school is to surround yourself with good people. If you have to come to this place almost everyday, why not make it a place where you can enjoy being there by being there with people you like and people who make you feel good?

Question: I’ve been looking to get a new guitar for a while and I can’t decide between the Yamaha Pacifica 611 or the Epiphone Les Paul Custom. Could you help a pal out?

I know nothing about electric guitars, since I only play acoustic, but from some research a lot of people say it depends on your playing style. The Yamaha Pacifica 611 has a more modern feel to it while the Epiphone Les Paul Custom is more like the guitars you would see in older bands. However, there was one website, “findMyGuitar.com,” that gave a multitude of reasons to get the Yamaha, including higher quality, easier to change out strings, better pricing, etc.
