The week before spring break, the Career Skills class put together bags filled with essentials that could help those in need in our community. With generous donations from the Brewster Rotary, Ace Endico, and Delancey Street, the Brewster High School Bear Essentials interns and student volunteers made 80 Spring Break Power Packs. Once the interns counted out the items that went into each bag, they had to pack them for delivery. Each family was provided snacks, juice, food to make small meals, and hygiene packs. After packing the bags, the BHS Interns delivered the packs to each building in the district for distribution. These packs go a long way in helping students and their families who have limited food access in the Brewster Central School District.
