Oh wow! That’s most people’s reaction when they see what the Career Skills Class has been accomplishing. Winter blues? That’s no excuse! Take a look and see what they’re up to this season.

Pictures for a Cause

Career Skills teamed up with the Warr;ors Club to raise money in support of Mental Health Awareness. The class dressed up as elves and posed for pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Bear Claus. They transformed room 105 into a Winter Wonderland with decorated trees, mini blow ups, and a huge stuffed bear in a sleigh.

Wrapping for a Cause

Handy Paws wrapped BHS staff members’ holiday gifts and in return the staff donated a non-perishable to be shelved in our Bear Essentials Food Pantry. The students and student volunteers wrapped gifts for over 10 staff members and they did a great job!

Canine Christmas

Handy Paws made homemade dog treats for the Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster, Orange and Sullivan County’s K-9 Units. They prepared 26 stockings to wish them a Merry Christmas and to thank them for keeping us safe. Thank you to Officer Nappi for delivering all of the amazing treats and stocking!

Unified Bowling Team

The Unified Bowling Team has begun practicing for their bowling season. They will be competing against other schools in Section 1. The program did a fundraiser and was able to purchase engraved balls and bags for each athlete. The balls were purchased in the late fall and were sized and engraved in early January. The athletes are so excited to start competing against other unified teams in Section 1.
