BHS Senior Celebrates Earth Day by Organizing a Trail Cleanup

Senior Sarah Comer, never resting on her laurels, decided to focus her senior leadership project on further improving the world around her and spend Earth Day doing just that: cleaning up the place. With a large group of friends, dozens of donuts, and lots of trash bags, Sarah managed and organized a large group of people to pick up trash on the Carmel/Brewster bike path, making the area beautiful once more. Also, an avid martial artist, Sarah brought out many of her Taekwondo students and fellow leaders from local United Martial Arts Center in Carmel, a place where “caring for every living thing” is a tenet to their practice. Thanks to Sarah, UMAC, and the BHS volunteers, the group did just that.
